What do you do when you have a coffee table but it continues to cut you with its jagged edges. You ditch it and chalk paint a new one. Refurbishing old furniture not only is cost effective it can reimagine old beautiful pieces.

Chalk painting is easy, and cuts down on the sanding which is a bonus. Let me know if you have done it your tips, and if not what more you’d like to know.

Tools used:

  • Random orbit sander, belt sander and 1/3 sheet sander.
  • Spray paint (Next time I’d make my own chalk paint. Spray chalk paint ain’t great.)

This is a quick and easy project. You can apply this theory to any type of furniture. Its fun, quick and satisfying to put your feat up on your re-creation.
